The Square, Temple Back East, Bristol BS1 6DG, the square in front of the Knights Templar pub at the back of Temple Meads Station

We’ll head out of Bristol following the River Avon along the St Philips Greenway, and the Whitchurch Railway Path, then along Norton Lane and down through Chew Magna. We will then be riding through the lovely village of Chew Stoke, and up into the roads and lanes beyond , passing Butcombe and Nempnett Thrubwell before finally dropping back down to and along the Bristol Road down Stoke Hill and a well-earned stop at Chew Valley Lake at the 26 Mile mark After we have been watered and fed it’s uphill before the final downhill back into Bristol a total of another 10 miles. This is a social ride at a speed between 10 and 15 miles ( but always at the pace of the slowest person so no-one gets left behind). You are not expected to climb every hill but will need to be reasonably fit for this ride. About you: You should bring yourself AND BE OVER 15 with an accompanying adult, or OVER 18 if on your own , A helmet (not compulsory ), a road worthy road bike or hybrid bike, a spare inner tube and puncture kit, suitable clothing, a water bottle, lights ( depending on the time of year). A mobile phone, money for a cake and tea or coffee stop, and lastly a sense of fun and humour.............. Sooo if you feel upto it, come along and stretch your legs and spend a nice morning in the saddle.........
