Bridgewater Canal to Monton

This is a fabulous, varied ride that takes us into the heart of Monton with mixed terrain and plenty to see along the way! We’ll see the beautiful Tudor buildings and pretty barges along the canal path.

You can stop and admire the scenery at Worsley Green and don’t forget to look out for local wildlife in the woods or on the canal. We'll ride on canal towpath, dedicated cycle path woodland trail and quiet local roads. We'll return via NCN 55 through the picturesque Worsley Woods and then return to our start point via the cycle path that runs alongside the newly built guided busway for approx. 4.5 miles.
