Pedalling Squares Café Quality Row Swalwell

The route:- Leave Pedalling Squares and cycle on the south side of the Tyne to Wylam. Cross over the bridge and cycle to Ovingham and then along the north side of the Tyne past Bywell towards Stockfield and then to Hindley. We stop at Wheelbirks Ice Cream Parlour and Tea rooms for a snack etc. Return to Pedalling Squares via Ovingham, Wylam, to Newburn. Cross over Newburn bridge and back along the track on the south side of the Tyne. This is a scenic cycle ride up the Tyne Valley and is 38 miles. The route is mainly off road and on quiet roads. It is suitable for any type of bike. There is no number restriction and this is a no drop ride. We aim to cycle at 10-12m miles per hour. Please ensure your cycle is in good condition and you should carry two spare inner tubes as we do get punctures and it is quicker and easier for the group just to replace your inner tube.
