Pedalling Squares Quality Row Road Swalwell Gateshead

We will leave Pedalling Squares crossing Scotswood Bridge(on the path) and cycle through Lemington on the track to Newburn. We will then climb up through Newburn and to the top of Throckley Fells and turn left. Cycle to Bolam Lake via Medburn and Black Heddon. Stop at the Stables farm cafe for a snack etc. Return to Pedalling Squares is the same way until we get to Newburn when we cross the bridge and back along the south side of the river Tyne. This is a lovely ride into the Nortumberrland countryside but slightly longer than our usual rides (45 miles) It is therefore very important that you are able to cycle at 10-12 miles an hour average. Please make sure your cycle is in good working order and you are carrying 2 spare inner tubes - It is quicker and easier to change an inner tube than to mend a puncture
