About the route
Leaving Pedalling Squares at 9.30am through Derwenthaugh Park following the Derwent Walk to Consett, then to Maiden Law, Burnhope and stop at Broomhouse Farm for coffee , cake etc. Return via the 7 track to Stanley, through Beamish and Whickham back to Pedalling Squares. The ride is about 35 miles and suitable for all types of cycles. The route is mainly flat and mainly off road with a challenging climb out of Beamish. Everyone welcome.
