Pedalling Squares The Old Brassworks Quality Row Swalwell

The route:- Leave Pedalling Squares and cycle on the south side of the Tyne to Wylam. Cross over Wylam bridge and cycle to Ovingham and Ovington. Cross over the A69 to Newton, near Corbridge.Stop at the Duke of Wellington pub for a snack etc. Return to Pedalling Squares via Stamfordham, Throckley and Newburn, crossing over Newburn bridge and back along the track on the south side of the Tyne. This is a scenic 38 mile cycle ride and suitable for any type of bike. There is a challenging climb through Ovington and a long decent through Throckley and Newburn on the second half of the ride. This cycle ride is for adults only and is not restricted on numbers. This is a no drop ride but we aim to cycle at 10-12 miles per hour. Your cycle needs to be in good condition and you should carry two spare inner tubes with you as we do get punctures and it is quicker and easier for the group to just replace your inner tube.
