Breezing to Bury

Starting from the car park at Halfords on Manchester Road we pick up the cycle path that takes us over St Peter's Way and then onto the old railway viaduct at Darcy Lever. We continue through Leverhulme Park towards Bradley Fold where we will pick up the cycle path towards Bury, we will then find our way to a local cafe to enjoy a coffee and perhaps a nice toasted tea cake or even better if, a cake before we return back to our starting point. This route gently meanders along new cycle paths that are flat and welcoming and takes in some roads towards Bury. At points the canal tow path is cobbled and round Elton reservoir is quite uneven, the paths are much more suitable for thicker tyres.
