Breezing to Burscough

We leave our start point and head to new longton. WE thenmake our way to Ulnes walton, skirt around the edge of croston and meander through the quiet lanes of mawdsley. . On reaching Bispham we head to Hoscar where we take right turn to Burscoughbridge and our coffee stop. After our break we head towards martin mere and ride on to mere brow. we then cross green lane to solom, skirt the edge of Bretherton and cross to Walmer bridge . here we join cycle paths that take us back to our starting point in penwortham. A grwat tour of the pretty villages of south ribble and west lancs.

We aim to achieve an average sppeed of between 10 and 11mph.

This is a ride aimed at women who are confident on the road and want to extend their miles. The route takes us through the quiet villages of south ribble.

we will be riding on country lanes. the route is mainly flat

We will stop at jack Parkers in Burscough. There will be plenty of opportunities along the route to stop for a breather.

Please bring some water, a snack and some money if you wish to purchase food or drink at the coffee stop. Be prepared for all weather conditions. Riders are advised to wear a helmet and it is compulsory for those under 18 to wear a helmet. Please carry a spare inner tube and tools necessary to carry out a puncture repair Prior to the start of the ride there will be a short bike check and safety brief but please make sure that your bike is in working order before joining the ride.

We are a small friendly group of women who enjoy a social ride around the scenic lanes in the area and a friendly chat over coffee. We love to welcome new members and we never leave anyone behind.
