Starting point

Bristol
BS2 0JZ

An entirely traffic free route along the Bristol - Bath Railway Path. We'll gently cycle about 8 miles along a mainly flat tarmac path to Bitton Station (there is one very slightly hilly bit but riders can get off and walk if necessary). The route includes a tunnel through Staple Hill. We'll stop for tea/coffee and a chat at Bitton Station Cafe. We'll then return to St Phillips along the same traffic free route. Don't be put off by the route elevation diagram, the path does climb but it is gradual (the diagram exaggerates this!)

Suitable for road bikes, hybrids, mountain bikes & folding bikes. Please bring waterproof clothing if rain is forecast, some lights for the tunnel, a spare tube/ puncture repair kit if you have one and some money for the café stop.

More information about the path can be found here: http://www.bristolbathrailwaypath.org.uk/home.shtml
