We will be Breezing locally from Northwood Hills on a 36 mile return road ride out the Country side to the Chiltern Velo. Its aprox 1900ft of climbing, starting outside Northwood Hills station (metropolitan line) passing through some lovely villages including one of my favourites Chenies. You should have already been cycling regularly and be confident cycling on suburban and countryside roads Pace 12 -13mph Route will be shared evening prior for anyone who wants to upload to bike computer You should be familiar with your bike, its set-up and be confident riding it. You should have a moderate level of fitness and be capable of riding the miles with some hills. What to bring: You must wear a helmet to take part. Bring a spare inner tubes, tools and a pump. Bring a couple of snacks and a bottle of water to keep you going. Bring money/cash card for the optional cafe stop or in case of an emergency (you might be in a situation where you need to get a train or taxi / uber home so, bring enough cash or your cash card.) Ideally you should be able to stuff all your things into jersey / jacket pockets or a saddle bag. Please aim to travel light. Preparation: Your road bike must be in a good and roadworthy condition. All riders must always observe the Highway Code. This includes: Riding no more than two abreast and riding in single file to allow traffic to pass on narrow roads Obeying traffic lights and signs Not riding on pavements and not abusing other road users. Please acknowledge any courtesy shown to you by other road users and stop at pedestrian crossings where necessary. Riders attend rides strictly at their own risk.
