We will leave Dock Road go over Hawarden Bridge through the Deeside Industrial Estate and head for Burton Marshes over the boardwalk.
Continue through quiet roads up to Church Lane where we join the Wirral Way towards Parkgate.
At the junction of Neston Road we will cross over and rejoin the Wirral Way and cycle towards Gayton at Riverbank Road where we will briefly leave the trail and ride on the quiet road to Davenport Road where we will rejoin the trail.
We will carry on through Lower Heswall until we get to Thurstaston Visitor Centre and Flissys café.
Here we will have our café stop.
Afterwards we will retrace our route back the same way back to Dock Road.

This is an out and back route down the lovely Wirral Way the former railway route from West Kirby to Hooton.

Most of the route is traffic free except for a few quiet roads. The terrain will be tarmacked surfaces approaching the Wirral Way. The actual Wirral Way itself is hardcore surfaces mostly easy to ride on but a few bits which are a bit rough which you should take care riding on them. ❗I DO ADVISE THOUGH THAT ROAD BIKES WITH SLICK TYRES ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR THIS RIDE ❗

We will be stopping at Flissys café at Thurstaston Visitor Centre for lunch but we can stop at anytime for a drink and take photos.

A bike in good working order with the tyres pumped up. A helmet is compulsory for this ride. Puncture repair kit or better still spare inner tubes which are easier to change and a pump. Suitable clothing nothing baggy that could get caught in the chain/gears. A bike lock. A drink/snacks for the ride. Money/card for café stop. If using an E-bike make sure it is fully charged. Medication if needed.

We never leave anyone behind
