CELEBRATE BREEZE WIGAN 2ND BIRTHDAY BY JOINING US ON A BIKE RIDE AND A GARDEN PARTY  RAISING MONEY FOR BREAST CANCER CARE HAVING A STRAWBERRIES AND CREAM EVENT http://www.breastcancercare.org.uk/fundraising-events/strawberry-tea PLEASE NOTE that the route has changed slightly and this is now NOT Traffic Free. Why not come along to this leisurely paced cycle along traffic free cycle paths and canal towpaths is approximately  10 miles in total.  This bike ride goes along cycle paths/canal towpaths/quiet roads and whilst it is suitable for hybrids and mountain bikes there are some sections of the canal which may have experienced rain so we might encounter few bumps and puddles along the way. A variant of the Haigh Heights ride, starting near the Orchid Room, Wigan Lane and following the route opposite way round.  This will mean a slight climb to the end but the reward will be a Garden Party with a difference raising funds for Breast Cancer Care.   This is a social ride and we will have plenty of rest stops and ALWAYS ride to the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. Helmets are advised to be worn during the ride and also wear suitable clothing taking account of the weather.  It's advisable to bring along an inner tube just in case of punctures as it isn't always easy to fix on the trail with a puncture repair kit. Children are welcome on this ride but all children must be accompanied by an adult taking part and MUST wear a helmet or will be unable to take part in the ride.  Children must be able to ride their bike confidently on cycle paths, along the canal towpath and quiet roads. There will be an opportunity to buy a drink and snack at the cafe so please bring some money along if you wish to use the cafe.    Please log on www.breezebikerides.com and register on the ride to secure a place Any questions contact Sandra via email: [email protected]    For more information on rides near you please see our North West Facebook pages: Breeze network Wigan
