Pop up Early Birds Munden Meander.

Let's enjoy the nice weather with a pop up Monday morning ride round the Mundens. It's due to be a hot day later so what better start than a pleasant ride through the cool woodlands. It's also my 50th birthday, so come celebrate with me! (Cake not included!)

Starting from Timberlake Car Park in North Watford (just off Radlett Road), we’ll head along the Abbey Way Cycle Route 6/61 and through the Meriden to School Lane, then through the trails around Munden Estate and Aldenham before looping back to the start.

A mixture of on-road and offroad, using tarmac cycleways and shared paths. It is suitable for Hybrid, MTB and gravel bikes. Bikes with slick tyres are not advised due to uneven surfaces we will go through.

It's currently forecast to be warm and dry but please wear long arm and leg wear. Gloves are also recommended as we will be going through some woodland trails with a possibility of nettles / overhanging branches to attack both arms and legs! Bring a light jacket if it looks like possible rain / mist on the day.

Please wear a helmet as the route goes through some bumpy terrain. We won't be stopping at a cafe anywhere on the route so bring a drink or snack if you need one. Please ensure you have lights on your bike as we will be going through some dark sections such as woodlands and under road bridges! You won't need a bike lock but please bring a spare inner tube in case you get a puncture.

Please arrive by 6:50am so we can run through bike checks and introductions before setting off on the ride at 7:00am.

Thanks & see you there
Helen.
