About the route
Starting point
We will meet on the roadside just above Tapton Lock Visitor Centre. There is some free on street parking available.
This is a traffic free route along the canal towpath and cycle paths to Poolsbrook, where we take a quiet road through Poolsbrook village to join another cycle path with views to the M1! Our cafe stop will be at Starbucks at Markham Vale services before retracing our route back to Tapton Lock.
Bring a pump and spare inner tube if you have one plus some money for the cafe stop, and a water bottle.
