Breeze to the Sales

Join Breeze Champions Linda and Lindsey on this leisurely “Breeze to the Sales” ride from Watermead Park to Fosse Park shopping centre and back. We meet at 10.00am in the Woolly Mammoth car park in Watermead Park, then cycle alongside the River Soar, passing by Belgrave Hall, Abbey Pumping Station and the National Space Centre. The route will then go through Abbey Park, with another pick up point outside Tesco’s Express in Bede Park at 10:45am and then continue along the Great Central Way to Fosse Park shoppping centre. Rides will return to the Woolly Mammoth car park via Bede Park at times to suit participants We will have a coffee (or shopping) break in Fosse Park before returning by the same route. When we arrive at Fosse Park, we can arrange the length of time people want to “shop til they drop”, with the option to return earlier if people wish. Take the opportunity to shop without the hassle of parking or traffic chaos! This ride will follow a mostly traffic free route and will be suitable for all, perfect for beginners and anyone who has not been on a bike for a while. We really welcome newcomers to our rides. We recommend helmets for adults, but they’re not compulsory. Don’t worry if you don’t have a helmet – why not try a couple of rides and see how you get on? Don’t forget….
