Starting in Chorlton Park we will set off along the Mersey towards Stretford where we pick up the canal which will take us to Cornbrook. From there we will use the road to get to Media City where we have the opportunity to stop for a drink and a snack. Once we are refreshed we will head back to the canal via Trafford Park and cycle paths and trace our route back to Streftord and then on to Chorlton Park.

This is not a hard ride and we will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider. However, please make sure you can cycle comfortably for the distance before booking on the ride.

You will need a bike that is in good working order and the means to fix a puncture of you get one - this means if your bike has not got a quick release you should bring a spanner. I will help you with this if you need help, but due to Covid-19 it would be preferable if you were able to do this yourself. You should have a face mask for if first aid is required. As the sun will have gone down towards the end of the ride, a set of lights are recommended.
A helmet is recommended and compulsory for anyone under the age of 18.

There won’t be a cafe stop on this ride because of the time of day, but we will stop briefly at Media City so bring a drink and snack if you would like.

We will ride one behind each other to maintain a social distance, except where it might be possible to do that side by side.

Join me on a pleasant, flat ride from Chorlton Park to Media City, home of the BBC (and ITV, but thar doesn’t sound as good in the title).

We will mostly be using canal paths but there are some roads to negotiate. You should be confident and comfortable cycling in traffic.

We will stop for a coffee and cake at Media City.

You should have a bike that is in good working order and carry with you the means to fix a puncture - help will be offered if you need it. Bring water to drink along the way and money and a lock for the cage stop. A helmet is strongly recommended and is compulsory for any rider under the age of 18.

We ride at the pace of the slowest rider and no one is ever left behind. Breeze Rides aim to be social - we encourage chatting!
