A ride to the beautiful Stanlake Park Wine estate, via country lanes and some roads and cycleways. The route is not too hilly, although there are a few ups and downs. From Montague Park, we will head towards Binfield, then through Waltham St. Lawrence and Ruscombe, before dropping downhill to Stanlake Vineyard, where we can have coffee/tea (or even wine!) from their cafe/wine bar (after 13 miles) and hopefully sit outside in the lovely walled garden. It is then just 10 miles back, via the lanes around Hurst, to Winnersh and along the new distributor road to Wokingham.
If anyone is coming from Finchampstead, we can meet you at 9.10 at the end of Ludgrove/junction with Easthampstead Road. Please message me via the conversation tab on Let's Ride if you want to meet there (otherwise we'll see you at Montague Park.)
The route is mostly on roads and cycle paths, with one off road bridleway (although we can take a detour to avoid this if necessary.) Please check your bike before coming out - especially tyres inflated correctly, both brakes working and oil on your chain. Please bring a spare inner tube and anything else you may need for repairs en route.
You must please wear a cycle helmet and bring a bottle of water, card for payment at the cafe and a bike lock if you have one. PLEASE NOTE: The cafe accepts card payments only.
We never leave anyone behind
