A SUMMARY:

Pedal Heaven bike shop in Fleet has kindly invited us for complimentary coffee/tea and cake.

They will also explain something of the (again complimentary) essential bike maintenance evening they -have offered to host for us later in the year. They are happy to answer any more pressing questions over coffee/tea and cake. Local ladies interested in Breeze rides may also attend to meet up socially with us.

We cordially thank Pedal Heaven for their great work, and for encouraging and supporting our rides, riders and the local community so consistently.

OUR ROUTE:

We meet and start at the QE2 Fields Cae Park on Dilly Lane, Hartley Wintney.

Dilly Lane, Bagwell Lane, Odiham via the underpass, Long Lane (yippee!), Well, Crondall, Pedal Heaven.

Pedal Heaven is at 16miles.

Return via Elvetham Heath and Winchfield; 4miles.

Back around 1pm


OUR SPEED:

A steady, friendly pace; cycling along tidily. Unrushed. Own pace on hills.

Looking out for each other. Re-grouping at junctions and on top of hills.

Helmets are compulsory.

Water. A 750ml bottle or 2 x 550ml bottle of water. But in very warm weather 2 x 750ml, or 2 x 650ml when café/water stop is 18-20miles in.

Emergency banana/biscuit/JellyBabies. And in very warm weather a salty snack (crisps).

YOUR BICYCLE:

Kindly also ensure that your bicycle is in good working condition - clean and oiled, no squeaks nor rattling (both are ominous…), tyres correctly inflated, brakes sharp. Thank you for your understanding.

Bring along a spare inner tube if you are running clinchers (“regular” tyres as compared with not tubeless tyres).
