Breeze to London - Parks, Palaces and Pralines!

This is a wonderful ride around some of the best sights in London, starting outside Baker Street Underground Station. Much of this ride is on bike paths and parks, but there is some riding on roads. Almost all of the route is flat. If taking the tube from Watford we depart at 9.35 to Baker St. If joining at Baker Street Underground please meet us at 10.30am. We head down to Hyde Park where we will ride over the bridge at the Serpentine and on past the Albert Hall. We then head towards Chelsea and the Thames where we ride alongside the river on a shared bike path, and then on to our refreshment stop in Pimlico (We have the option to stop in Starbucks or a v posh café for brunch, or even bring a packed lunch!). You’ll need a bike lock for the stop here. We have time to visit one of the best chocolate shops in the country and have a hot chocolate before heading on for the real highlights. We’ll ride alongside the river where we will have great views of Battersea Power Station. We then go over Lambeth Bridge and Westminster Bridge, with great views of Big Ben, the London Eye and Houses of Parliament. We then ride on the Mall (car free on Sundays!) up to Buckingham Palace. We head back via the bike path in Green Park, under the Wellington Arch to Hyde Park and then on to Baker Street Station for our tube journey back home. Remember to wrap up warm with hat, scarf and gloves, and bring money/oyster card and a bike lock! See you there!
