Car park of the Southwell Trail on Station Road, Southwell (next to "The Final Whistle" pub), Nottinghamshire

From The Southwell Trail car park, we'll ride along Riverside Walk, then take the road up to Fiskerton Railway Station. Crossing the railway line, we'll ride through Morton. We'll arrive at the fab Manor Farm Tea Shoppe at Bleasby in time for morning coffee or tea - we guarantee you'll have burnt enough calories for a big piece of cake!! Fuelled up, we'll then ride on to Thurgaton and through this lovely village, then an uphill climb will take us to Hilltop Farm and stunning views across Southwell, Thurgaton and Bleasby. We'll ride a bridleway through farmland, coming out onto the main road back down into Southwell. This route is a mix of main roads, quiet country roads, and bridleways, and is a 24km circular ride with the tea stop about half way. The ride is suitable for mountain bikes and hybrids - road bikes are unsuitable for the bridleway section. This ride is perfect for all abilities, as we always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. We really welcome newcomers to our rides.  It's a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack if you think your energy levels may need topping up along the way.  Wearing a helmet is advisable, though not essential. Please bring some money if you want to buy refreshments. Looking forward to seeing you there! www.facebook.com/breezenetworksouthwell Email us at [email protected]f you have any questions.
