Breeze to Bearpark via Ushaw College on a summers evening

The route takes us via St Oswald Park to view a Durham Spray Paint Mural, then via the colleges to Broompark Picnic area, where we will follow the Deerness Valley Railway Path. There is a steep climb up Broadgate Road towards Ushaw College where we turn right and breeze down via Bearpark Estates to Aldin Grange, Baxter’s Wood, Redhills and back to the start.

In order for the ride to leave promptly, please be punctual so we can carry out bike checks, etc. prior to us setting off. Please check your bike is in good working condition before the day and bring a spare inner tube to fit your tyres. A drink and a helmet are also advised.

We will stop to regroup along the way, so please bring a drink and snack to keep you sustained, if required.
