A 7-mile route through Ashridge Forest on a combination of off road cycle routes and a section of quiet roads. We’ll cycle through the forest with fabulous views over the Chilterns and hopefully see some deer, past Ashridge House and finish at the café for tea and cake. The cycle routes are mostly good firm surfaces with a short section of farm track. It can get a bit muddy if it has been raining. The ride departs at the time shown, so it helps if you get there a little earlier. Top tip: check your bike over the day before and pump up the tyres. You should bring with you some money for coffee and clothing suitable for British weather. It can be a good idea to bring a spare inner tube that is the correct size and valve type for your wheels.
