The Bike Shop, 511 Pinner Road, North Harrow

This ride visits the Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Neasden, which is 20 years old this year. A masterpiece of traditional Hindu architecture made of marble and limestone, the temple offers a great deal of interest, so we allow two hours for the visit, including lunch. Entry is free of charge; we expect to arrive in time to witness the Darshan ceremony. There is also an exhibition about Hinduism for a £2 charge. For more information see http://londonmandir.baps.org/visit-us/ and please note the dress code. We can get a snack at the cafe afterwards, next to the temple. Beginning in North Harrow, our route takes us on on quiet roads and cycle paths through South Harrow, Sudbury and Wembley to Neasden. Having visited the temple we shall return via Wembley Park, Kenton and Harrow. There are a few sections with traffic, but it is mostly quiet. The day before please check your bike over, pump up the tyres, check that the wheels turn freely and the brakes work. Bring a spare inner tube if you can change it, and an Oyster card in case you can't! We have a Facebook page - Breeze Network Harrow. Please Like the page to keep up to date with our rides, and share it with your friends Please note: this ride is suitable for children over 11 when supervised by an adult. Children must wear helmets and be confident, competent cyclists on roads.
