This is a slightly more challenging ride of around 33miles. We will start the ride from Hampson Park, Webb Rise, Stevenage SG1 5QU to leave at 9.15am, using the cycle tracks and head on to quiet country lanes. The pace will be steady no one gets left behind. There is free parking at this venue and is the correct side of town to head out to this route.

We will have a second pick up for riders from Par 3 in Letchworth at 10am, if you choose to ride the shorter route which will be around 26 miles from par 3 and back. There is parking at Letchworth Par 3. The Golf House, Willian Way, Letchworth Garden City SG6 2HJ. PLEASE MESSAGE ME IF YOU WANT TO START FROM PAR 3

There are a few hills and we will wait at the top to enable everyone to ride at their own pace.

We will take the route from Par 3 in Letchworth down to Bickerdykes Nurseries and then turning off to take the cut through road to Baldock via Radwell Meadows. Meeting the main road for a short ride up to turn off to take the Newnham Road. This is less hilly than Ashwell Hills so we can admire the view.
Sharp turn left towards Hinxworth just before Ashwell and then taking the route out to Langford and going over the AI on the bridge before turning right down into Langford where we will be stopping.

A lovely ride out to Langford for our cafe stop through Newnham, Hinxworth, before our stop for refreshments at Cherry Orchard cafe. Return route through Henlow, Arlesey and Stotfold,
where we will join the route back up to Letchworth and back to Stevenage.
Quiet country roads or cycle paths used whenever possible.

Cherry Orchard cafe at Langford Nurseries. This offers great breakfast, lunch and snack options and plenty of seating inside.

Helmet, water or drink, spare inner tube and pump to fit, suitable clothing to suit the weather, card/cash for refreshments and a WATCH!

Please wear a helmet and ring a spare inner tube for your bike.

You can contact the leader directly via the ‘Message Ride Creator’ tab in the ride posting on let’s ride unless you have their direct contact details already.
