We are going over to Stanborough to join other Hertfordshire Breeze riders for a picnic.
The ride is categorised as 'Steady' because it is over ten miles, but the pace will be Easygoing.
We will follow the Alban Way and various cycle paths through Hatfield and WGC. There will be some short sections of on-road riding and also some off-tarmac sections, but nothing a hybrid or road bike with sensible tyres won't cope with. Expect some pauses for breathers at points of interest along the way.
Either bring your own food and drink or purchase from the cafe at Stanborough if you want to buy something there. Bring an extra layer in case it's cool when we stop. And suncream in case it isn't! Please also bring a pump that fits the type of valve you have and a spare inner tube of the right size. Bring some cash / card (it's best to have both these days) in case you want to buy stuff at Stanborough or at the CC&CC.
Covid-19 virus is still in circulation albeit at low levels - be considerate and sensible and stay away if you are infected or think you might be. This is important - the consequences of Covid can be severe and long-lasting even if the likelihood is low. Bring a face covering and hand sanitiser to use as appropriate.
