Starting from - The starting point for this ride is the car park of the village hall in Wass. If coming from Coxwold direction at the crossroads in Wass go straight ahead, the village hall is on the right hand side. If coming down Wass Bank (take care it is a narrow road and steep) the hall will be on your left. If coming from Ampleforth at the crossroads turn right and the village hall will be on your right. There is a honesty box on the wall of the village hall, a small donation towards the up keep of the car park would be appreciated. YO61 4BE

This 20 mile road ride starts in the village of Wass, passing through Coxwold before ascending one of the climbs that forms part of the 60 mile Yorkshire Lass Annual Charity Sportive route which takes place in August. Lovely views from the top. The route then takes us to Husthwaite and on to Coxwold and towards Kilburn, home of the “Mouseman” visitor centre, café and shop, where we will stop for refreshment. From Kilburn we pick up the sportive route again to pass under the White Horse and continue on to Oldstead. Once through Oldstead we have a nice descent towards the ruins of Byland Abbey before a flat ride back to Wass. This is not going to be a fast ride and we will have plenty of time to take in the lovely views.
