Starting point

L1 8LZ

Please note due to the Liverpool Half Marathon, we are starting from the back of John Lewis by the bus station l1 8lz but we should finish on the Pier Head Ferry Terminal opposite the 3 Graces. The nearest station is St James, bikes are allowed on the train.

The route is a mixture of roads, greenway and off road pavements, but it should be suitable for all types of bikes. Please be aware a certain level of confidence of cycling on the road is required we also have to walk our bikes up some steps so be Starting at the 3 graces we cycle along the Prom in Liverpool, through past Festival Gardens and then on to Otterspool Prom. After the Prom we go along the road through into Garston. A bit of a boring ride along the road in Speke, but this then gets us on to route 62, we follow this route through the beautiful village of Hale and then we'll turn on to the greenway section, towards Widnes, along Pickering Pastures. To get to the Spike Island we'll be going under the famous Runcorn bridge.
