Heading West we take Gallowhill Road out of Kinross, following the Finderlie Road alongside the North Queich River to Dalqueich. Here we take a narrow back road towards Carnbo that climbs steadily past the farm offering lovely views at the top. Beyond the village of Carnbo, we turn left climbing gradually for several minutes crossing Gelvan Moor. It's easy to imagine how barren this area of moorland once was. We then enjoy a lovely downhill past Tullibole. At the T junction we turn left, then left again to Coldrain crossroads where we turn back downhill to the road to Cleish. We finish with a short climb past Cockairney back to Kinross.

This is a lovely circular route with lots of opportunities to see wildlife and nature.

All roads are tarmac - mainly B, C or U class roads. Nice country routes in a pleasant rural area.

No stops are planned other than for riders to have their own drinks/snack as needed.

Helmets advisable. Layers and a waterproof recommended. Glasses for eye protection as there are more insects now. Please ensure your bike is well maintained and the tyres are properly inflated. Bring any drinks or snacks you need for yourself. Please ensure you have any tools specific to your bike and an inner tube to fit your tyres.

We never leave anyone behind
