Breeze Osterley via the Racecourse

We are riding to the beautiful Osterley Park - you don't need to be a National Trust member and entry to the park is free. Please feel free to wear something festive - tinsel on your bike perhaps? or a Santa hat? Our route is mainly off-road or on quiet roads, and along the canal. We follow Alexandra Avenue to the 'Racecourse' estate, then through Islip Manor to cross the A40 over a footbridge. We pass through parts of Ealing and Southall to reach Osterley via Norwood Green. After coffee and perhaps a mince pie, we return on a slightly-different route including a lovely stretch along the canal. You need some experience for this ride, and any bike is suitable - it is fairly flat. Don't forget your Oyster card just in case! Please ensure that your tyres are pumped up before the ride, your brakes work and wheels turn freely. Helmets are not compulsory, but please bring water, a lock for your bike and some money for refreshments.
