Breeze Millenium Stones Ride

Starting from the Victoria Park car park, we head out to the traffic free NCN55, the Greenway, towards Stafford. After three miles along the trail, we join quiet country lanes. During this afternoons ride, we will pass two of the six Millennium stones which have been placed in the Staffordshire/Shropshire Lanes to commemorate the Millennium. The first stone will be in the hamlet of Oulton prior to our refreshment stop on the scenic canal side at Norbury junction where we can enjoy a guilt free cake. After a pleasant tea stop we continue back towards Newport, passing a duck pond and the second Millennium stone at Weston Jones, again along quiet country lanes. Remember to dress appropriately for the weather and bring your helmet, water, and hopefully sunscreen, together with some cash for your refreshment stop.
