Breeze Mawdesley Meander

We leave Avenham park crossing the River Ribble and head along some cycle paths to Penwortham. Here we join the road and travel through Whitestakes, Midge Hall, Ulnes Walton, skirt the edge of Eccleston and head to Mawdesley. We then weave our way through quiet lanes to reach Bispham Green and our coffee stop at the Owd Barn. After our break we head towards Rufford then turn right to go through Mawdesley, we bypass the centre of the village using quiet lanes to reach the Robin Hood pub where we head towards Croston. On reaching Croston we head back towards Ulnes Walton where we pick up our outward path and retrace our route back to White Stakes. Here we head to Lostock Hall and pick up cycle paths back to Avenham Park.

This is a steady ride aimed at women who are confident on a bike and wish to extend the length of their rides.

The route is mainly on quiet roads in South Ribble. There are some short climbs to test your legs

There is be a planned coffee stop at The Owd Barn in Bishpam Green.

Please carry a spare inner tube and tools necessary to carry out a puncture repair. Riders are advised to wear a helmet and it is compulsory for those under 18 to wear a helmet. Prior to the start of the ride there will be a short bike check and safety brief but please make sure that your bike is in working order before joining the ride.

This is a small friendly group of women who enjoy a social ride around the scenic lanes in the area and a friendly chat over coffee. We love to welcome new members and we never leave anyone behind.
