Beginners MTB Ride - Ennerdale

This is a short ride which is great for beginners or if you prefer a more relaxed pace whilst taking in the beautiful scenery at Ennerdale Water. We will be riding around the water on a bridleway, there will be sections where you will have to push your bike over a little bridge. This is a social, inclusive and supportive ride for all, riding at the pace of the slowest rider so we don't leave anyone behind.

Bike info - A mountain bike, a hybrid with mountain bike tyres or a gravel bike with suitable tyres. Please ensure your bike is in good working condition. Check your gears and brakes at least the night before. If possible bring a spare inner tube, tyre levers and a pump.

Clothing - A helmet and gloves are essential. Bring a waterproof jacket if there is any chance of rain.

Bring a drink and a snack if needed.

If you need to cancel your place it won’t be a problem just let us know before the ride so we are not waiting unnecessarily for you, especially if it’s raining.

There are no toilet facilities at the start of the ride. The Gather is short drive away so Coffee and Cake is always an option at the end of the ride.
