Breeze Gosport Loop

A gentle loop around Gosport taking in the quiet roads and cycle paths, with a coffee stop at Stokes Bay. We will head northwards from Bicycle Recycling turning on to Weevil Lane before crossing the Millenium Bridge and cycling past Explosion! Museum, the roads and cycle paths in this area are nice and quiet and there are beautiful views over Portsmouth harbour and up to Portsdown Hill. As we continue on to Heritage Way we can enjoy the wide cycle path that runs alongside the road, we will then pass the leisure centre and join the cycle path that runs all the way down to Stokes Bay, this fantastic cycle path is tucked away from the roads and traffic. We will stop at Pebbles beach cafe at Stokes Bay to enjoy a tea, coffee or maybe even a bit of cake! And the wonderful views across the Solent and the Isle of Wight. It is then just a short hop back along some quiet back roads and over Haslar bridge to the shop, where the ride finishes. Please feel free to come in to Bicycle Recycling prior to the ride if you want to pump your tyres up or have a quick check over of your bike, I will be there from 9.30. The shop is in the bus station tucked away just behind the tourist information - if you have trouble finding it ask in there, or at the ferry office and they will point out the way!
