Outside Daisy's in the Park cafe, Pinner Memorial Park

This ride goes from Pinner through the quiet roads of Ruislip and then back to the new cafe at Eastcote House Gardens for refreshments. The area has been recently restored and there is a beautiful walled garden. We return to Pinner through quiet roads following the route of the River Pinn. The ride is on Ride Like Billie International Day. Billie Fleming was the woman who in 1938 set a world record for the most miles cycled in a year by a woman - 29,603 - and who died last year aged 100. www.tributetobillie.co.uk. We will record all the miles cycled by all the women, to contribute to the total cycled in the 2015 Tribute. The ride is easy with a few ups and downs, nothing too taxing. Dress for the weather and bring a bike lock, water and money for the cafe. Helmets and lycra are optional! The day before please pump up your tyres and check your bike over, ensuring that the brakes work and the wheels spin freely. Any bike is suitable as the surfaces are all good. are a friendly sociable group and no one is left behind. If you use Facebook please Like our page: Breeze Network Harrow. And tell your friends about Breeze bike rides for women! There are several qualified volunteer Breeze Champions in the area, offering a variety of lengths of ride and days of the week.
