Free, women-only bike rides led by experienced Breeze Champions. They are a great way to get started in cycling or to improve your skills, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned cyclist.

From Maiden Castle we will wend our way along the riverbanks to Durham Old Gardens, then St Godric’s, Palace Green and St Mary the Lesser. A short ride full of history, taking advantage of Durham’s Heritage Week.

A short tour of Durham’s Heritage buildings during Heritage open week

Mainly off road, with some quiet roads linking our stops

We will be stopping at St Godric’s and Mary the Lesser Churches as well as Durham Old Gardens and Palace Green Library.

Helmets are always advisable as is clothing suitable for the weather. We also recommend you bring along a spare inner tube, tyre levers and a pump. We can do the rest!
