Breeze Durham Glow Ride - My ride. Our right

From County Hall we will cycle through the newly surfaced Aykley Heads path to Newton Hall and back through nature reserve and cycle paths around to New College and along the A167 to the Mountain Oswald estate where we will follow routes through the University before climbing back up North Road to the Cartologist.

On 22 October 2025, communities across the UK will take to the streets for mass glow rides as part of our campaign, ‘My ride. Our right’. Together, we’ll light up the night to call for safer streets, better cycling infrastructure and a future where women, and everyone, can ride with freedom and confidence.

An evening glow up ride as supported by Cycling UK

We will be cycling on lit cycle paths around Durham city in celebration of Cycling UK’s glow up campaign

We will be stopping for refreshment at the Cartologist at the end of the ride.

You will need good lights, front and rear for this ride. Please ensure you have lights of 400 lumens or more. Add on glow sticks, lights and suitable illuminations. We intend to be a mobile light show :)
