Breeze Durham C2C - the downhill bit

Although, you are welcome to meet us anywhere en route, just let me know where to expect you.
Should you need a lift back, there is some availability of minibus and bike trailer returning through Gateshead to Durham, otherwise we would expect you to make your own way to meet us and to travel home.

You are invited to join us for the final leg of the Breeze Durham C2C, as we arrive in to Parkhead Station cafe, near Stanhope, with the hills behind us and the lovely downhill ride to the seaside at Tynemouth to look forward to.
Sustrans NCN 7 C2C route mostly on gravelled path, with some short sections on road in Newcastle and Tynemouth.
We will be stopping for lunch at the Derwent Walk Inn, Shotley Bridge. You may wish to join us there.
Please bring clothing appropriate for the weather. Good waterproofs, gloves and a buff are recommended, together with a filled drinks bottle and an inner tube suitable for your wheel size. We also like sweeties.
