Breeze Derby - Up the Amazon

Starting at 10am from Parker's Piece (Chester Green end of Darley Park) we will pedal along the River Path to Alvaston Park (10.20 start option here - by the Sustrans Post) continuing west towards Elvaston Country Park, taking Ambaston Lane to Shardlow then going 'Up the Amazon' to check out the latest warehouse development (how many new ones since we last rode this way?) riding through Kegworth, Sawley and Breaston (we can do this route in either a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction depending on which way the wind blows) before returning to Alvaston Park and then Darley Park.

As usual we ride on a mixture of busier roads, country lanes and traffic free cycle paths.

Helmets are advised - I will be wearing one. The Covid / Winter Virus bit - please do not ride if you are feeling unwell, you test positive or are showing signs / symptoms of Covid or other seasonal viruses. If you test positive or feel unwell / show signs or symptoms of Covid after the ride, please let the ride leader know. Please bring everything with you that you might need on the ride eg spares, tools, extra clothing, snacks and drink, sharing is not encouraged.
