Breeze Derby = Lock Ups Ride

Starting at Parker's Piece Car Park (DE1 3RP) at the southern end of Darley Park we ride to Avaston Park (DE24 8QQ) chance to join the ride here - 9.50am) on the river path continuing until Swarkeston Lock when we take the Canal Tow Path and then Cloud Trail around Melbourne to the first of the Lock ups in Breedon on the Hill. Worthington Lock Up comes next from which we ride the lanes to our next stop in Packington - here, we not only admire the Lock Up but also take a break and some refreshments at Hill Farm. Suitably replenished we continue through Ashby de la Zouch to the fourth Lock Up in Smisby. The final lock up is in Ticknall after a descent of the infamous Pistern Hill. We ride our familiar route back to Darley Park via Swarkeston.
