Breeze Blackburn East to Accrington

Starting from the new Giant Blackburn Bike Store on Whalley New Road, we will use the cycle path to get down to the Leeds-Liverpool canal. We follow the canal east out of Blackburn, to Accrington, and there is an optional loo/brew stop at the Tesco. Then we return the way we came. The route is mostly flat with one short climb and one longer, steadier one. It will be a very easy pace suitable for all beginners. Most of the route is traffic-free. Much of the route is along a canal tow-path so this is best suited to hybrid bikes and mountain bikes. PLEASE NOTE the ride leaves at 10 am so please be early so we can do the bike checks. You may park on the bike shop forecourt, but please do so respectfully and do ask in the shop if unsure.
