Breeze Big Bike Ride - Tea @ Delaprie Abbey

This is a gentle ride on a mostly traffic free route through the Brackmills Woods pocket park to Hardingstone along cycle track through Hunsbury Park then back along the canal to Delaprie Abbey Tearooms for Tea/Coffee & Cake.  It’s perfect for beginners and anyone who’s not been on a bike for a while. Please make sure that you have a basic cycle repair kit for your bike. It's a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack if you think your energy levels may need topping up along the way. Children over 12 welcome if competent on bike & accompanied by Mum, helmet compulsory for children. Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.  We really welcome newcomers to our rides; we will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. A traditional feel fete is being held on the South Lawn at Delapre Abbey with marquee, craft and community stalls and family entertainment. Should you wish to break off the ride after our coffee break here to enjoy the fete please just let me know all others will be guided back to the start!
