Join us to celebrate five years of Breeze in Basingstoke! The first social ride went out on 22nd March 2012 - and how far we have come since, with a number of active Ride Leaders, good links to local clubs, and most importantly, lots more women riding their bikes for fun and fitness!
This ride is social and designed to be as inclusive as possible. Road bikes are welcome if you are confident on them but we will be going through the cycle path in Crabtree which is quite bumpy up the hill - you can get off if you need!
We'll meet under the bandstand in War Memorial Park just off the NCR23 cycle path at the Hackwood Road entrance by the Party Workshop. If you're coming from further afield, you can use town centre or Crossborough Hill parking.
Lots of off road, and some short road sections which will hopefully be quiet but we won't be on them for long and we'll chat through how to safely ride in a group if you're not sure.
Bring appropriate clothing for the weather for this pace of ride, a working/safe bike with tyres pumped up and some money if you fancy stopping for a tea/coffee after somewhere. Also lights on your bike if you have some as it will be getting dusky.
Be great to see some familiar faces, appreciate the timing is not ideal but we're trying to beat the dark. More evening rides soon as the clocks go back coming soon, so come along find out what is planned!
