Breeze Audlem to Eccleshall Circular

The route takes us out of Audlem on a south westerly route to Market Drayton. From there we take the quiet Shropshire lanes through the villages and hamlets of Chipnall, Cheswardine, and Adbaston to Eccleshall for a lunch stop at the Flour & Co. Bakehouse. This is after 27 miles. We take a different route back to Market Drayton and from there take a north easterly route via Norton in Hales back to Audlem.

The cycling is on quiet country lanes with undulating terrain. Whilst there are no big hills, the route does have some “ups & downs” with a total ascent (and descent) of ~2,160’. Due to this and the distance it is graded a challenging ride.

This is not a beginner’s ride. It is only suitable for cyclists who already have experience and know that they can complete this distance over this type of terrain at a reasonable pace.

Back in Audlem, we can reward ourselves with an ice cream and/or a cup of coffee, depending upon the weather!

Cycle Helmets are compulsory.

Please ensure you have a road worthy bike, along with a spare inner tube of the correct size for your bicycle wheel. Please don’t rely on a puncture repair kit. Experience shows it’s far quicker to simply change out for a new tube and then do your repair work at home!
