Breeze around Barton

We will ride between 8-12 miles. Exact route will be weather dependent.

There maybe some short but gentle hills.

Towpaths/bridleways may be muddy.

This Breeze bike ride is a beginners ride combining on/ off road ride, brought to you by qualified Fundamentals of Mountain Bike Leaders. To deliver rides as per the remit of the Fundamentals of MTB Award, we also hold a valid 2 day outdoor first aid certificate. We ride at the pace of the slowest rider and no one gets left behind

We will be cycle on mainly quiet road, some part of the national cycle network, canal towpaths/bridleways (weather dependent), and dedicated cycle paths. We may have to go short distances on busier roads to reach lanes.

We will stop for a coffee either part way through the ride or at the end of the ride depending on the weather.

You will need a bike in good working order, either a mountain bike or hybrid with off road tyres. Please bring a drink and snack in case there are any issues and we get delayed. British Cycling ask that you have an emergency contact and that you are able to get home if you have a mechanical failure that can’t be fixed or you feel unable to continue the ride.
