Breeze along the Tudor Trail

This ride has it all. History, beautiful waterside riding, woodland and picture box countryside and all in the short space of only 5 miles.  Leaving Tonbridge near it's 13th century castle the route passes through Haysden Country Park, with some 165 acres of woodland, meadow and open water, before finally arriving at the halfway destination of Penshurst Place.  A real gem of a Tudor house, nestled in the beautiful Kent countryside. A refreshment stop will be made at the Porcupine Pantry cafe at Penhurst place and there will be time to look around the gift shop.

This out and back route offers an excellent, almost entirely traffic-free route. There is one noticeable climb as we near Penhurst place followed by a downhill section. As we will reverse the route on the way back every up becomes a down and vice-versa.

Helmets - yes please and bring some money/card for refreshments will be at the Porcupine cafe at Penhurst.
