Breeze along the towpath

We will start off by following the Rea Valley path from Hazelwell to join the canal towpath to The Vale. We then ride through the university campus to join the blue route to Cannon Hill Park and rejoin the Rea Valley route back to Hazelwell.

This is an interesting, flat and mainly traffic free route along the canal towpath, university campus, the blue route and Cannon Hill Park. Suitable for all bike types and ideal if you're new to or returning to cycling or looking to build your confidence on two wheels!

Canal towpath, cycle paths and some short stretches of quiet road

Please wrap up warm, wear a helmet and warm gloves and bring a waterproof. Please make sure your bike is roadworthy with tyres pumped up and brakes working. You should also have a pump and a spare inner tube - just in case! You may also like to bring a drink and a snack.
