LET'S BLOW AWAY THE CHRISTMAS COBWEBS, LEAVE THE OTHERS AT HOME IN BED & GET OUT AND RIDE! This is a pleasant straightforward ride through quiet Cheshire lanes. We leave Kingsley and make our way through the countryside towards Weaverham. We then go towards Acton Bridge and the River Weaver. A lovely ride beside the Weaver takes us to Dutton Locks where we get off the bikes, admire the locks and walk the bikes across the walkways on the lock gates. A further mile along beside the river brings us to Pickerings Lock where two houses only have access across the water. We leave the river and go up towards Kingsley (steep hill - pushing allowed), before returning through the lanes to Kingsley. (Will check in advance if Gibson's café is open.) Not too long a ride - aim to be back for lunch - so the family don't moan too much!
