Boxing Day Breeze

Blow away those Christmas cobwebs and join us on a boxing day ride! And kudos if Santa delivered you new wheels! The start time is the time that we’ll leave, so try and be a few minutes early, especially if it is your first time on the ride. There is car parking available (although this is limited) at the leisure centre. We'll head out via Birchwood Avenue towards Skellingthorpe, where we'll hit the "Route 64" cycle track and then route 647 past Harby, Wigsley, and on towards Fledborough. Hopping off the cycle track at North Clifton, we'll be heading back through Spalford, Wigsley, Harby, Swinethorpe and Eagle Moor, before reaching Lincoln via Doddingon Road, and riding back to the Leisure Centre. We'll stop for a break en route, and may even factor in a pub stop if people want it. It's a good idea to bring some water, or even a flask of something warm, as well as a puncture repair kit/spare inner tube for your bike.  Please also remember your lights! Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not worry as you can still take part. If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again, perhaps you could look to buy one then? Please ensure a mobile number is provided in case the ride is cancelled due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances. In case you're worried, nobody will get left behind, as we always ride at the pace of the slowest riders.
