Starting point

LE4 4DX

Car park on Sibson road. opposite Garden centre. Free parking is available and there is plenty of spaces

Starting in Birstall, the ride heads out through the hills of the Charnwood forest towards Bradgate park. Once through the park, we will go out towards Desford and then onto Kirby Mallory. The next stop on route is the beautiful village of Sutton Cheney and then onto Bosworth battlefield, the famous last stand of King Richard III. Tea and cake/lunch can be taken at the battlefield centre before we ride to the pretty village of Market Bosworth. This is the alternative rest point. The return route will take us back through Thornton, onto Markfield and back down to Bradgate park. From there we will head back into Birstall. This route is hilly at points but we always wait at the top and no-one gets left behind. Please bring a spare tube in case of punctures, (better than trying to repair it at the side of the road) drink and food for the ride and some money for the tea shop. Helmets are not compulsory but it is advisable to wear one as 95% of this route is done on the road
