Millfield car park

A mostly flat ride from Easingwold, down through Alne to the Aldwark toll bridge, where we cross the River Swale. Then on to Great Ouseburn, taking a single track diversion to avoid the busier road, bringing us out in the middle of the village. Turn right towards the end of the village onto a very quiet road which is part of the 'Way of the roses", through 3 pretty villages - one of which has a very good pub! This leads to Boroughbridge, where there are several tea shops to stop for refreshments. On the way back we start on the direct route but then take a farm lane which eventually leads onto a bridlepath (may need a short pushing section depending on conditions), and arrives at Myton Bridge to cross back over the river. From there through Tholthorpe and Raskelf back to Easingwold. Instead of taking the farm track the other option is to stay on the busier road back to Easingwold via Helperby and Raskelf. Don't forget money for refreshments. This ride will be a 'steady' pace, between 11 and 12 mph, similar to the recent Beningborough ride.
